Contract Network Engineer

Role Description

This is a contract position with a hybrid work schedule for a Network Engineer to work with our client. The Network Engineer will be responsible for network administration, engineering, troubleshooting, security, and design tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our clients' networks.

Qualifications

• Network Administration and Troubleshooting skills
• Network Engineering and Network Design expertise
• Strong knowledge of Network Security principles
• Experience with network configuration and maintenance
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Work with Network infrastructure and Telecommunication team leader for upgrading network,implementing wireless solution (Meraki & Cisco) and their support/troubleshooting.
• Work on Cisco Catalyst, Nexus switches and Cisco VoIP devices.
• Implement protocols such as: EIGRP, BGP SSH, TCP/IP, UDP, SSL, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, routing protocols, L2/L3 switches, VPC, 802.1Q, ether-channel, STP, RSTP, VTP, QoS, ACLs, FTP, DNS, SIP and other common protocols.
• Implement security products firewalls, IPSec, RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH,SSL, SHA1. Tasks may include network management, monitoring and troubleshooting tools (sniffer, syslog, NetFlow, TCPDUMP, Wireshark).
• Day to Day configuration, management, and operations of Cisco Firepower firewalls, ISE, Stealthwatch and DNAC.
• Use Cisco Command line interface, Windows, OSX and Linux. Tasks may include network management, monitoring and troubleshooting tools (sniffer, syslog, NetFlow, TCPDUMP, Wireshark).
• Day to Day configuration, management, and operations of Cisco Firepower firewalls, ISE, Stealthwatch and DNAC.
• Use Cisco Command line interface, Windows, OSX and Linux.Must demonstrate strong understanding complex Routing & Switching Environments
• Must possess strong experience with Meraki, Firewalls, DNA and ISE
• Ability to work independently is critical. Some amount of physical work expected for installation and cabling. Experience in implementing network patches.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Position is client facing. Strong Customer Support and interpersonal skills are required.
