Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety standards.
- Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical records, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Perform chairside assisting duties, including passing instruments and materials to the dentist.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Conduct preliminary assessments by taking vital signs and gathering medical history.
- Utilize 3D scanners for imaging as required in various dental procedures.
- Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting; experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with Epic is advantageous.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical coding.
- Ability to perform medical imaging and manage medical documentation effectively.
- Strong understanding of general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and chairside assisting techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
