Description
· Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
· Perform open and closing procedures for the housekeeping department.
· Understand the Art of Hosting program.
· Be familiar with BSA standards for yearly room inspection.
· Knowledgeable regarding cleaning matter program - steps of cleaning.
· Assign work to Room Attendants and train associates in housekeeping duties. May perform cleaning duties and receive the board to help on the busy shifts, or when short-staffed. Support room attendants by cleaning and stripping guest rooms as needed.
· Thoroughly inspects all rooms for cleanliness and maintenance issues to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Conduct BSA room inspections and address cleanliness problems with the housekeeping attendants.
· Work with and train room attendants to ensure daily tasks are completed timely and accurately. Control overtime, and make sure minutes per occupied room is meeting the budget.
· Inspect every room individually to ensure efficient cleanliness as per requirements.
· Ensure VIP and Elite member rooms are ready and inspected prior to check-in time and ensure proper amenities are delivered.
· Inspect housekeeping carts and closets to ensure that they are properly stocked.
· Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
· Work with a house person to maintain the cleanliness of glass doors and windows throughout the assigned building, and hotel hallways, stairwells, and elevators (vacuum/carpet exaction).
· Records inspection results and changes the status of rooms that are ready after rooms have passed inspection.
· Communicate with the Front Office staff of any housekeeping delays or issues and make necessary changes to room status.
· Adjust the schedule for the next day when occupancy changes.
· Use radio and earpieces to communicate within the housekeeping department and other departments.
· Provides support to Executive Housekeeper in the delivery of incentives and programs that promote positive associate relations.
· Provides support to Executive Housekeeper to ensure that guest satisfaction scores meet or exceed brand benchmarks.
· Ensures proper use of inventory and supplies. Help with quarterly linen inventories and monthly payroll tasks.
· Place an order for room supplies in absence of the Housekeeping manager.
· Reports any missing, damaged or maintenance issues in rooms immediately.
· Resolves guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
· Communicates any guest issues and feedback to the management team to ensure appropriate actions are taken.
· Coordinates, prioritizes and assigns responsibilities to Housekeeping staff in the absence of the manager/supervisor.
· Complies with and ensures compliance with security procedures.
· Answer and resolve guests’ complaints regarding housekeeping service or equipment.
· Assists in training housekeeping staff as needed.
· Knows and follows all company, Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Programs.
· Train and coach associates that perform below the standards.
· Manage Life water inventory, and make sure it is properly recorded.
· Works extra shifts and hours as required.
· Ensure key control policies.
· Other duties as assigned.
Salary : $26,500 - $33,600
