Job Summary:
The Drake University School of Education – Department of Leadership and Counseling invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor. This position will be responsible for teaching EDL 275: Planning, Research, Measurement and Evaluation (taught Fall 2025). The successful candidate will teach one section in the Fall of 2025 to a group of educators seeking their PK-12 principal licensure. The course objectives have already been established. The instructor is responsible for facilitating course activities and projects designed to meet the course objectives as well as grading all related coursework.
Minimum Qualifications:
K-12 administrative experience required
Doctoral degree required
Preferred Qualifications:
University teaching experience preferred
Job Duties:
- 70% - Teach using the pre-developed syllabus and readings - (Essential)
- 10% - Establish a consistent method of assessing students around the course objectives. Monitor and document individual student progress - (Essential)
- 10% - Engage students to actively participate in all aspects of the course, online and independent student activities as appropriate - (Essential)
- 5% - Maintain timely communication with students to assist them in achieving course objectives - (Essential)
- 5% - Communicate questions and concerns with collaborating educational leadership faculty - (Essential)
