What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Defense Litigation Associate Attorney position at Drew Eckl & Farnham?
We are growing and looking for experienced associates to join our Insurance Defense Litigation Group at our Atlanta office.
Required Qualifications:
- Sufficient legal knowledge to be a self-starter, capable of taking on insurance defense cases under the supervision of a senior partner with minimal micromanagement.
- At minimum, 1 years of experience with litigation in some capacity, whether through appearing at court hearings and trials; conducting/defending depositions; drafting dispositive motions and briefs; and/or appearing at trial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, not just in legal filings but in communications with clients and insurance company representatives.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, particularly in juggling multiple case assignments and emails each day without missing any important deadlines.
- Strong legal writing skills.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
The preference for this position is that the attorney hired for this position spends 3-4 days in the office each week. Opportunities to work remotely will arise once the attorney gains a basic understanding of the firm systems and team processes.
Salary will be determined based on years of experience, but all associate attorneys at Drew Eckl & Farnham have the opportunity to receive quarterly and annual bonuses based on billable hours.
