We are seeking a Sr. Staff Accountant to manage the general accounting and financial processes of our company. This individual will be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other related financial activities. Proficiency in NetSuite is required for this role.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee general ledger processes, including closing the books on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and post adjusting journal entries and accruals during month-end closings.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and follow up to resolve reconciling items.
- Assist in the preparation of standard and ad hoc monthly reports for senior management.
- Support management in preparing quarterly and year-end financial deliverables.
- Assist in external audit preparations by providing required schedules and support.
- Provide subject matter expertise assistance in assigned accounting areas.
- Perform special projects as requested by management and operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of NetSuite and Sage 300 or similar ERP systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
- 6 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate, hospitality, or investment sectors.
- Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
