Position: Director of Admissions
Reports to: Chief Development Officer
Supervises: Admissions Coordinators
Status: Exempt
Hours: Monday through Friday with some weekends/evenings
Location: Driftwood Campus
Summary
Reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer, the Director of Admissions performs a variety of duties that require very strong verbal communications skills, excellent phone etiquette, as well as the ability to coordinate new client admissions, assist families, and coordinate day to day office activities. The Director of Admissions is also tasked with leading an admissions team and adhering to the functions, policies and procedures, and delegated activities of the organization and department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as a member of Driftwood’s Management Team. Establishes and enforces expectations for the organization, coordinates efforts to meet these expectations, and solves problems hindering achievement of those expectations.
- Provides management in the admissions department to execute processes and plans that meet state, Joint Commission accreditation, and payer requirements.
- Provides in-service training to organization staff, as requested.
- Assists in the development and implementation of special programs.
- Receives admission calls made to Driftwood Recovery.
- Coordinates intakes with families and residents.
- Conducts pre-admission screenings by phone.
- Gather appropriate background information on all clients to present to clinical & medical teams for clearance prior to admission.
- Completes resident intake paperwork including the intake screenings and consents.
- Submits verification of benefits (VOB’s) prior to client admission.
- Drafts and collects fully executed financial contracts.
- Collects payment for treatment.
- Coordinates outbound referrals.
- Coordinates with operations staff to facilitate resident property searches at admission.
- Provides facility tours to future residents, families, and industry professionals as needed.
- Track communication with all potential admissions in CRM.
- Assists with other tasks or functions as delegated by leadership.

Education/Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year working experience required in fields relating directly to duties and responsibilities listed above.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Current TB test
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification
- Valid driver's license

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
