POSITION DESCRIPTION:  The Batching Lead is responsible for adhering to correct mixing instructions and specifications. Supplies the production line with the batched product in a timely manner and helps to attain maximum product recovery. As part of this commitment, we offer: PPO medical, dental, and vision insurance for our employees, 100% paid by the Company A cell phone stipend 401(k) match program, pet insurance, life insurance, and more RESPONSIBILITIES: Partners with Batching Supervisor to support daily activities of assigned shifts, ensuring product adheres to DrinkPAK’s & customers’ safety and quality standards and meeting production schedules. Partner and communicate with the previous shift’s Lead/Supervisor regarding any challenges, opportunities, callouts, or upcoming changes to prepare for the shift. Assists with batching as needed and preparing for scheduled changeovers. Utilizes the daily end-of-shift report to understand and comment on downtime and communicate appropriately with other Leads/Supervisors. Maintains effective working relationships with team members through open communication, visibility, and involvement to promote a positive working environment that maximizes safety, employee engagement, productivity, and performance. Precisely inspects, stages, weighs, and mixes ingredients according to the product recipes. Collaborates with the Quality Department on the analytical results and makes modifications or adjustments to the batches when needed (i.e., Brix, Acid, pH, color). Pre-weighs blends and liquefies components for beverage preparation. Accurately documents lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates on formulas per customer regulations. Performs cleaning and sanitation of batching equipment and fillers (CIPs, foaming equipment, and hand brushing). Operates electric forklift to load sugar, following all safety procedures. Adheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations. Always abide by DrinkPAK’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards. Maintains general housekeeping and quality in all warehouse areas, including any additional areas assigned by leadership. Accurately completes hourly inspection sheets based on overall product quality. Assists in other areas as required by leadership. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job. Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar position; 1-3 years of experience preferred in the Food or Beverage industry or similar manufacturing environment; 1 year of experience taking lead on various projects. Experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or canning industries preferred. Ability to visually inspect products and materials. Forklift experience. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments. Good verbal and written communication skills. Safety, continuous improvement, and solutions-driven mindset. Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred. WORKING CONDITIONS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Ability to lift approximately 50lbs, stand 8 hours, push and pull required.
