Software Engineer (Salesforce)
As a Salesforce Software Engineer, you will help modernize and expand how NYL uses Salesforce across its annuities business. You’ll integrate Salesforce with key internal systems, improve backend workflows, and enhance how internal users and insurance agents interact with the platform. Prior Salesforce experience is not required; DRUM Upskill provides training and a dedicated advisor to support your career development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Salesforce functionality across the Retail Annuities line
- Integrate Salesforce with internal tools, systems, and data sources (e.g., marketing platforms, customer tracking, pricing engines)
- Design and build custom APIs to connect Salesforce with business-critical systems
- Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to understand workflows and requirements
- Improve internal user experience and agent-facing features within the Salesforce environment
- Participate in Salesforce training and certification via DRUM Upskills learning resources
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in software engineering role
- Proficiency in: C#, VB.NET, Python, or ASP.NET
- Experience working with relational databases such as MS SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL
- Solid understanding of API design and systems integration principles
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to learn Salesforce through internal resources and hands-on work
- Nice to have: Experience with or exposure to Java and/or JavaScript
