MATERIAL HANDLER

Position Summary:

Issues and returns production powder/parts, unloads delivery trucks, organize & maintain transfer racking and tunnel areas, help maintain proper part flow from east building to west building back, scanning of inventory racking, supports production needs in all departments and maintains good housekeeping of the transfer areas in both buildings.

Position Requirements:

• Supports all manufacturing teams with all material handling requirements as required.
• Issue and return returnable dunnage from shipping storage to production areas.
• Controls product flow in support of shipments and all finished goods movement.
• Ensure the practice of FIFO is followed.
• Scans all transfer parts and racking on a weekly basis.
• Help maintain proper levels of skids, totes, boxes, cardboard in all production areas.
• Maintains the housekeeping and scanning practices on all transfer locations in both east and west building.
• Responsible for clearing all transfer racking of skids daily.
• Support & provide backup coverage for the shipping department with material movement.
• Individuals directed by management to operate a vehicle for work purposes will observe the requirements of the Fleet Safety Program.
• Support, promote, and perform in a manner consistent with continuous improvement goals and the values of DSB Technologies, LLC. which includes following the policies, procedures, and requirements of our Quality Management and IS0 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
• All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Professional and Technical Experience and Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification required.
• Previous Material Handling experience required.
• Ability to work off platforms required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office preferred.
