Position Title: Large Loss Superintendent

Location: Florida

Salary & Compensation:

• Base salary starts at $110,000, with potential for higher based on experience.
• Additional compensation available for time spent out of town.

Position Overview: Join the leader in the Disaster Restoration industry as a Large Loss Superintendent, managing significant reconstruction projects across the country. This role requires a highly organized and experienced professional based in Florida, who is prepared to travel and manage projects away from home for much of the year. The role offers a unique opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and rewarding projects in the industry, with the added benefit of travel and additional compensation for out-of-town assignments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of large-scale residential and commercial rebuild projects, often in various locations.
• Direct communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Cultivate and maintain a robust network of subcontractors that can mobilize quickly for project demands.
• Manage logistics for materials, permits, inspections, and project timelines to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Address technical issues, report to the Vice President of Construction, and ensure all projects adhere to the defined scope and specifications.
• Assist in the change order process, including estimation, approval, and documentation.
• Ensure timely and high-quality completion of all construction tasks, managing multiple projects concurrently.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in construction, with a proven track record in managing large loss or complex reconstruction projects.
• Leadership: Ability to lead and shape a positive team culture, managing both in-house and subcontractor teams.
• Travel: Willing to travel and stay out of town for approximately 182 days per year
• Network: Must have an established base of subcontractors who can mobilize for projects across different regions.
• Skills:
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple high-value projects simultaneously.
  • Valid driver's license; ability to lift over 50 lbs.
  • Compliance: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Software: Experience with Xactimate is highly beneficial.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Construction.
