Accounting Assistant II

A. Duda & Sons, Inc. has an opening for an hourly paid Accounting Assistant at the corporate office in Oviedo, FL.  The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for working with the Accounts Payable team on daily assigned tasks as well as assisting the different business locations and external vendors with questions or issues resolving them timely.   The Accounting Assistant duties include the following: Review DAX Invoice Journals, Automated Disbursement Vouchers (ADVs), and DocLink invoices for accuracies, such as vendor, invoice date, invoice number, invoice amount, payment terms, and appropriate approvals.  Review Purchase Orders for the appropriate documentation (PO, Product Receipt, Invoice) and Post for payment.  Process Payment Journals for vendor payments (checks) three times a week.  Import, index, and merge supporting documents into DocLink for void checks and payment journals.  Process expense reports on a daily basis. Backup to Mail room assistant as needed. An Associate Degree in Accounting, as well as 2 or more years of previous accounts payable experience, is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel is required. Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing are also required.   A.
