DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Finance
- Conveys all relevant company goals to department heads.
- Works with department heads to establish work activities to accomplish company goals.
- Directs Federal capital purchases and oversees compliance.
- Working with the Director of Planning and Grants, supervise the administration of all funding received through capital grants.
- Work with department heads to establish activities to accomplish company goals.
- Oversee processing of Federal grants through TrAMS and procurement reimbursement via ECHO.
- Administration and Contracts
- Responsible for oversight of all local, state, and federal contracts for operations and facilities. Assists in development and administration of programs outlined in the Transit Development Plan.
- Assists the Finance Director with preparation of the annual budget.
- Assists the General Manager in matters dealing with local, state and federal governmental agencies and bodies.
- Represents the DTA in working with the MPO.
- Prepares all reports as necessary. Reviews internal and external communications. Reviews all reported data to determine the goals and needs of the division.
- Other
- Serves as a DTA representative on boards, committees and commissions as may be required.
- Performs other related duties as may be required.
The performance of the major job functions for this position requires the incumbent to be present at their work setting. Regular, dependable attendance is necessary for the performance of the job duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Four year degree in Public Administration or related study.
- Minimum of five years of increasing responsibility supervisory experience in public transit planning, procurement, or development.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Education or experience in Planning, Funding, and Contracts.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to sit for an extended period of time.
- Must have manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment.

The Director of Administration serves as the manager of the Administrative Division overseeing the attainment of company goals, as set forth by the General Manager for the Finance and Administrative Departments. The Director of Administration is responsible for ensuring and overseeing compliance with FTA Third Party Contracting regulations. The Director of Administration and Contracts also assures that all employees of the Administrative Division complete their work in a manner that is professional and as cost effective as possible.
