Position Highlights
- Full-Time, 40 hours/week
- Hours: Monday-Friday; 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm
- Location: Westmont - 815 Pasquinelli Drive; training will be held at Orland Hills site
- Travel: Expected to travel to other sites if needed to follow provider

- Greet patients in a friendly manner whether on the phone or in person.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal physicians and with scheduling staff at facilities.
- Verify patient personal and insurance information -- coordinate pre-op testing per insurance.
- Single point-of-contact for internal staff and external inquiries for all scheduled procedures.
- Schedule and/or reschedule pre-op lab and/or other testing before procedures and surgeries if necessary.
- Contact patient to confirm procedure/surgery.
- Explain and verify proper prep instructions with patients, route to nurse if appropriate.
- Prepare all essential paperwork for referral coordinator and facilities.
- Verify daily doctor's schedules, print and distribute to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain the strictest patient confidentiality.
- Work with billing staff to ensure all procedures are charged.
- Cover/fill-in for co-workers as needed.
- Track case volume and direct cases to facilities per direction of management team
- Medical terminology, verbal and written.
- CPT and ICD-9 coding.
- Referral process.
- Must have the ability to learn new computer programs.
- Act professionally towards customers, physicians, and co-workers.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize.
- Must posses time management skills.
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years prior surgery scheduling, telephone, computer and customer service experience.
Salary : $16 - $25
