POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing Manager will reside in the Division of Marketing Communications (DMC) and support comprehensive marketing and communications needs for two or more schools, colleges or divisions of the University. Acting as the primary liaison between these schools and/or departments and the DMC, this role will manage a wide range of marketing projects, with a special focus on recruitment and brand awareness. The Marketing Manager will lead marketing campaigns from concept through completion, including strategic planning, content creation, project management, website management and communications. The Marketing Manager will place special emphasis on developing and executing social media content across various platforms to engage target audiences and increase brand visibility. Responsibilities include creating compelling posts, managing platform-specific strategies, and coordinating multimedia content creation, including video production, to ensure consistent and impactful messaging across all channels. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversees marketing and communication projects with a focus on recruitment. Defines and executes strategy, content development, project management and reporting, as well as campus partner interactions, ensuring alignment with each school’s strategic marketing communications goals. Acts as the primary contact for the schools, facilitating collaboration with the Division of Marketing and Communications. 

Develops and executes engaging social media strategies and content to connect with target audiences and elevate brand presence across platforms.  

Writes and edits copy for various platforms, tailored to target audiences. This includes managing messaging, proofreading, writing both long and short format stories, and ensuring excellent command of grammar and style.

Provides event-related marketing support, including creating event collateral materials, coordinating video and photography shoots, managing and writing website content, and ensuring design consistency. 

Completes other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Writing, Journalism or English from an accredited institution and 3-5 years of work-related experience.

Marketing and advertising, project management, social media strategy and content creation, copywriting and client management experience required.

Preferred qualifications:

Marketing for higher education with an emphasis on healthcare, developing digital advertising campaigns, familiarity with video production and organizing commercial photography shoots, website development and analytics preferred.

5-8 years of work- related experience.

Alternately, the successful candidate may possess any equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the essential job functions. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Customer service oriented

Deep understanding of social media strategies and tactics

Ability to work collaboratively with various units across the organization
