Scope: 

Duraflex International is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This individual will be tasked with many roles during their time at Duraflex. General duties will include becoming an integral part of the engineering team, supporting ongoing projects, and documenting/developing our manufacturing processes and striving to ensure that our product performs to its highest ability in any environment.  

We are seeking an individual who enjoys multi-tasking and is willing to take the initiative to learn our business and market. The Manufacturing engineer will be expected to use sophisticated manufacturing methods to develop novel solutions to diverse problems while ensuring process reliability. Additionally, a successful candidate would interface with customers to provide support during installation, specification, and use of our product.   

 

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties 

 

  • Develop and document manufacturing processes.  
  • Develop a complete knowledge of our product offering in terms of use and installation.  
  • Support current and prospective customers during installation, specification, and use of Duraflex equipment at their facility.   
  • Research and recommend methods for use in the manufacture of new and existing products.  
  • Develop CAD models and drawings of parts and tooling fixtures to assist manufacturing.  
  • Create standard operating procedures for production work centers.     
  • Develop training matrices for plant personnel.   
  • Assist in the creation of robust quality and inspection measures for all parts moving through our facility.  
  • Work collaboratively with the engineering team in product development processes with an eye for manufacturability.  
  • Provide guidance to less experienced engineering team members.  
  • Derive and implement maintenance procedures for plant equipment.  
  • Support automated manufacturing equipment throughout the plant.  
  • Specify and lead procurement and design of new equipment.  
  • Perform other duties as required.

Skills, Education and Other Requirements: 

 

  • The successful candidate will have 5-7 years business experience in an engineering role or applicable education experience.  
  • General CNC and metal working.  
  • Aluminum casting process and specification.  
  • Automated systems trouble shooting and maintenance (PLC, etc.)   
  • Have strategic thinking and visionary skills.  
  • BS in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering is required.  MS preferred
