Full Job Description
Dutchess Ambulette is a small but growing provider of health care transportation operating mostly around Poughkeepsie NY. The job offers regular hours each week. And we provide navigation equipment to make your day easier. We’re looking for friendly and conscientious driver to join our team.
Responsibilites:
- Transport customers to and from medical appointments
- Treat our customers with respect and kindness while they are in your care
- Operate vehicles in a safe and reliable manner
- Perform vehicle inspections at the beginning and end of each day
- Assist customers boarding the vehicle using wheelchairs or other mobility equipment
- Help our customers get safely in and out of the vehicle and make sure they arrive safely to their destination
- Assist our members who cannot walk by safely taking them down and up stairs using special equipment
- Keep your van clean and neat.
Requirements:
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- Attendance and professionalism are important, we need drivers who are reliable and courteous.
- Any Class CDL License with Passenger Endorsement.
- Applicant must have held a driver’s license for 3 years or more.
- Valid New York State Driver’s license
- Experience with operating ambulettes is desired.
- Knowledge of smartphones and the ability to use a phone application.
- The ability to safely bring members downstairs in their wheelchairs.

Experience:
- Van driver: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CDL with passenger authority (Required)
