Summary
Job Title: Warranty Specialist
Department: Customer Service
Reports to: General Manager
Location: Detroit Lakes, MN
Summary
The primary role is responsible to service all warranty repairs or product replacement from finished product in accordance with the Warranty and Standards and Maintenance guidelines.
Essential Functions

- Acts as a liaison to Company with regards to customers, homeowners and authorized builders.
- Determines appropriate resolution of warranty/service needs independently or in conjunction with authorized builders.
- Completes paperwork detailing each warranty/service call including additional repairs necessary.
- Identifies product needed for warranty/service calls and completes customer service form for supervisor review.
- Performs broad carpentry skills for warranty work including carpentry, drywall, electrical, plumbing and installation or adjustments to windows, doors, toilets and faucets
- Communicates with supervisor as each call is completed and/or if unforeseen delays occur during the day.
- Sets up weekly service schedule with supervisor.
- Reports customer concerns, grievances or product quality issues to various company departments as appropriate.
- Follows proper use, care and maintenance of company tools, equipment and vehicles.
- Exhibits great customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment.
- Maintains good housekeeping practices which facilitate efficient operation as well as employee safety and morale.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The performance of this position requires occasional exposure to the manufacturing areas where the use of safety glasses is required, and the use of hearing protection may be required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours will vary due to job duties. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with overtime as needed.
Travel
Moderate travel to customer and other sites required on a weekly basis.
Education Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous home construction experience is preferred.

- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Computer Skills: Ability to operate a computer and supportive software including manufacturing software.
