Dynamic Structures Construction, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Construction Project Administrator to support our project management team. This role is critical to keeping projects on track by assisting with specifications, submittals, scheduling, and material coordination between the office and the field.
This position is well-suited for someone who may not have extensive construction experience but is highly detail-oriented, organized, and willing to learn the construction industry.
Primary Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to identify and extract required pre-construction docs, submittals, shop drawings, product data, and closeout documentation
- Assist the estimator and project managers with assembling complete submittal packages in accordance with contract requirements
- Maintain and track submittal logs, approvals, and resubmissions
- Assist in building and updating project schedules, focusing on tracking milestones and deadlines
- Order materials and equipment for field operations and coordinate delivery timing
- Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain product information, lead times, and availability
- Maintain well-organized project files and documentation (digital and hard copy)
- Support project managers with administrative tasks such as RFIs, change orders, meeting minutes, and document distribution
- Assist with project closeout documentation as projects are completed
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of pre-construction documents, drawings, and specifications is a strong plus
- Candidates who are highly detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn will be strongly considered, even without prior construction experience
- Strong ability to track deadlines and follow through on assigned tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with construction or scheduling software is a plus but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
