What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Mechanic - All Shifts position at Dynamic Transit?
We are looking for Techs and Mechanics at both the Hazelwood and Granite City location.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform general inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a fleet of 250 trucks
- Perform work on Peterbilt diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems and auxiliary power units (APUs)
- Review repair work orders and discuss work with supervisors
- Communicate with managers or drivers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems
- Work in a safe and professional manner
- Ensure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areas
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have own tools
- At least 2 years mechanic experience required
- High school diploma or GED required; technical education highly desired.
- ASE Certification preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license
- Must pass drug screening
- Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position (lifting excess of 80 lbs, bending, climbing and standing for duration of a work shift)
