Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Outside Sales Account Manager to join our growing team. Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities for new business.
- Identify and target prospective customers in key industries such as construction equipment, agriculture, material handling, and heavy-duty trucking.
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to develop tailored sales strategies.
- Conduct on-site visits to customer locations, provide product presentations, and gather technical requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues that arise.
- Develop quotes and proposals based on customer requirements and company capabilities.
Skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present ideas clearly.
- Proven experience in sales, particularly in selling to OEM's and industrial distributors.
- Proficient with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and basic ERP concepts
- Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes.
- Experience in account management, demonstrating the ability to nurture long-term client relationships.
- Leadership qualities that inspire collaboration within the sales team.
- Willingness to travel 50–70% of the time, depending on the territory
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of successful B2B outside sales experience, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Experience selling to OEMs and industrial distributors is highly desired.
- Technical knowledge of tubing, hydraulics, or metal fabrication is a plus.
