Position Summary:  Maintain, repair, and inspect all company vehicles to ensure that vehicles operate in a safe, reliable manner.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on trucks and automotive vehicles
• Inspect machinery for faulty parts
• Analyze and diagnose mechanical issues
• Create plan of action for all repairs
• Follow checklists and protocols while conducting repairs
• Regularly clean and maintain tools and equipment
• Ensure a safe, organized, and tidy workspace
• Input, track, and maintain all maintenance data and records
• Maintain working conditions for all machinery
• Track inventory and order new parts when required
• Explain the nature of the repairs required and the plan of action
• Support coworkers and be a good team player
• Follow all health and safety laws and guidelines, as well as common-sense safety practices

Position requires the ability to work in uncomfortable, physically demanding positions

Minimum Qualifications:

3 years mechanic experience

High school diploma or GED required

Associate degree or vocational/trade school certification preferred

ASE certification highly desired

Proven mechanical acuity and basic math skills

Familiarity with common mechanic’s tools, service, and diagnostic equipment

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift to 60 lbs. repeatedly                                                                           20%

Walking, Bending, Stooping, Kneeling Lifting, Twisting and Reaching      80%
