Essential Job Functions

Lead Teachers plan and implement learning experiences that advance the development of the whole child, establish, and maintain a safe, healthy learning environment, and comply with all Colorado Department of Human Services licensing requirements and the National Association for The Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Accreditation Standards. Teachers implement a balance of group and individualized experiences to promote the development of school readiness skills.

Schedule

  • 8- and 10-hour shifts available
  • Day Shift
  • Weekdays

Qualifications

This position requires the ability to stand, sit, stoop, walk, climb, bend, and actively participate with youth during program activities. Occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds is also required.

  • Must hold at minimum an AA in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. BA/BS in an unrelated field 6 credits in ECE and 9 months of classroom experience.
  • Documented experience teaching in the Early Childhood Education field working with children (birth to age six).
  • Demonstrate acceptance of all children, their families and co-workers, including but not limited to those with special needs, behavioral challenges, diversity of culture, race, ethnicity and parental choices.
  • Possess, or obtain within 60 days of hire, First Aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation certifications.
