What are the responsibilities and job description for the Developmental Specialist position at Early Start Therapy?
We are
looking for Developmental Specialists to deliver clinical
treatment plans created by our interdisciplinary team of therapy
providers within our client's natural environment. These
environments include the home, preschool or daycare, community
locations, as well as within our treatment centers.
Our
clinical approach is one that is holistic, family-centered, and
fun. We are looking for people who are passionate about working as
part of a team to not only help children thrive within their
day-to-day activities, but also to empower their families in
caring for their needs.
Duties of this
position include but are not limited
to:
- Carrying out treatment plans designed by the interdisciplinary evaluation team in a manner that incorporates family culture, interests and priorities.
- Documenting services rendered, collecting data on client response, and maintaining client records and case notes.
- Assisting the interdisciplinary evaluation team in supporting and educating clients, family members, teachers, and other members of the public about child development.

We are hiring for
full-time, part-time, and per diem positions on
an
hourly basis with rates based on experience. We ask that

Requirements
Minimum
Qualifications:

Undergraduate
degree in communication sciences and disorders,
child development, psychology, or other
healthcare and human services fields.

Candidates who
are currently in a graduate program for
speech-language pathology, occupational therapy,
behavior analysis, or physical therapy are
encouraged to apply.
Desired
Qualifications
- Early Intervention certification
- Experience working with children and their families
- Familiarity with Routines-Based Intervention
