Weld Lead

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Weld Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various welding techniques, including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding). This position is responsible for serving as the lead individual for the Welding department. The Lead ensures that Associates are properly trained to perform functions safely and efficiently, to know their assignments and deadlines, and to have the tools and parts necessary to complete their jobs. The Lead serves as a subject matter expert in the Welding department. The Lead utilizes effective problem-solving skills for all equipment repairs and project concerns before involving management. In this position, the Lead drives continuous improvement in Welding department and ensures high-quality output. The Lead models the company’s Core Values of integrity, respect, teamwork, professionalism, and quality to positively impact Team morale and to build and foster a strong Team culture.

Duties

• · Interact daily with Associates and provide feedback to the Supervisor.

· Provide instruction and training to front line Associates in the Welding department.

· Resolve problems and provide solutions to meet customer specifications.

· Assist maintenance with maintaining equipment.

· Communicate effectively with Associates and the Weld Supervisor to improve quality and productivity.

· Act in a professional manner while interacting with Associates in all levels of the company.

· Perform housekeeping duties as needed to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

· Delegate work to Associates based on group priorities; provide support in the kitting operations of ordering and pulling parts.

· Ensure proper and accurate entry into the M1 data collection system.

· Ensure that all Associates are using the proper PPE for jobs.

· Accurately follow OSHA and ISO procedures and guidelines and maintain compliance for all business obligations.

· Consistently meet company set productivity guidelines.

· Consistently follow all safety instructions as outlined in the Associate Safety Manual.

· Adhere to Earnest Products Core Values, policies and procedures as outlined in the Associate Handbook.

· Regular attendance is an essential requirement to meet company productivity standards.

· Perform other duties as required.

Skills

• Proficient in various welding techniques, particularly FCAW.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Experience with machining processes is a plus.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
• Familiarity with hand tools used in fabrication and assembly processes.
• Ability to operate cranes and rigs safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of ductwork installation techniques is advantageous.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Pay: $21.96 - $22.96 per hour
