Ears and Hearing, PA is looking for Newborn hearing screeners.
We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to work at Shannon Medical Center. The candidates will need to be able to work weekends & holidays and also be available from 8:00 AM until last baby is tested.
We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Newborn Hearing Technician to work Monday - Friday and occasional weekends if needed Positions are based in a busy Newborn Nursery / NICU hospital setting. Our program operates 7 days a week 365 days a year. Schedules do include Holidays and occasional weekends.

The Newborn Hearing Technician performs hearing screens, provides education to parents pertaining to the relevance of hearing screening and early intervention and records patient information and hearing screen results.
We can not stress enough that this position is what the screener makes it! If you are a motivated, self-starter we encourage you to apply. THE POSITION PAYS PER SCREEN!! It can take up to 20 minutes to complete a screen.
This position is a leisurely part-time position but can work to supplement income with other part-time jobs.
Schedules will be determined a month in advance and may include some weekends/holidays.
Candidates MUST have all vaccinations done or be willing to get them done by their provider or they will not be considered for this position this does include the COVID vaccine. Please make sure you answer correctly via Indeed on what vaccines you have with ACTUAL DOCUMENTATION in hand. You need to have proof of these vaccines. Some vaccinations will be reimbursed by the company after being onboard for 60 days including a required fittest.

Qualifications:
Education level: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
Experience Industry: Prior experience with newborns and in a medical setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Clear seven (7) year background check
- The ability to have interpersonal communication with the public.
- Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance.
- Ability to effectively prioritize daily tasks and assignments.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Able to perform accurate data entry.
- Demonstrate sensitivity when handling infants.
- Able to work on weekends and national holidays.
- Able to work mornings to mid-day- Normal start time 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Vaccinations as required by hospitals, including Flu Vaccine
- Must be able to pass a Drug Screen.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on program needs, including weekdays, weekends, and holiday shifts, if needed
- Interact and develop relationships with hospital personnel to ensure effective levels of communication are maintained
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and push the screening equipment. Perform light physical lifting (up to 25 pounds) on an intermittent basis. Have the ability to stand and walk frequently (95% of shift).
