About the Farm Stand

Just a stone’s throw from the original 2 ½ -acre Earthbound Organic farm in Carmel Valley, CA, the

Farm Stand is a place to celebrate life, culture, and our heritage of passion for organic food and farming. Opening in 1992, The Farm Stand and Organic Kitchen (2002) has grown to be an iconic presence in Carmel Valley and the surrounding communities. It continues to provide organic education and training for all its neighbors and guests, cultivating a healthier world.

OBJECTIVE:

The Farm Stand team member/ barista will provide outstanding customer service with a positive attitude. They will be a team player with strong communication skills, and the willingness to learn. They will be responsible for serving food and beverages, as well as maintaining cleanliness and keeping the store fully stocked and presentable at all times.

Full time employees will recieve full benefits and paid vacation time.

You will have the opportunity to assist in Harvest Festivals, Harvest Walks, Events, Private Parties, Pop-Ups and seasonal activities. For nearly 30 years the Farm Stand has been a community staple celebrating organic produce, local makers, and a variety of goods!

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be 18 older as we are now serving alcohol

Must be available to work holidays and weekends

SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Sense of urgency

Ability to multitask

Use a touch screen POS system

Perform opening and closing register procedures

Fulfill food and beverage orders

Maintain a clean and sanitary Farm Stand and work space

Restock merchandise

Price and process incoming orders

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience is not required- we are willing to train the right candidate.

Barista experience

Knowledge of produce

Retail experience

Food service industry experience

Pay: $16.50 - $16.75 per hour
