Summary: Acting as the liaison between the Project manager, the crew onsite, client, and job site. As an Assistant Project Manager there will be different hats worn to successfully keep all construction activities on-going which includes but not limited to assisting with organization, administration, planning and management. One of the primary roles of an Assistant Project Manager is to assist the project manager in upholding standards to meet Earthtone Construction’s processes and procedures by coordinating, attending pre-construction meetings, preparing & managing subcontracts & change orders, RFI’s & RFPs, and maintaining a schedule, etc. This is a position that partners with various departments throughout the company and as so this role is administrative, and most of the time is spent in the office, but it is also a role that spends time outside in the field.
Duties and Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to the following):
Work in harmony with the Earthtone Construction Project Management Team.- Coordinate and attend pre-construction job meeting. Prepare informational packets related to the project and Earthtone Construction’s safety programs per ECI standard processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with Project Manager/ Estimator to establish project estimates/ project budgets. Incorporate all tasks required to successfully complete the construction project including but not limited to general conditions, equipment costs, subcontractor costs, material costs, and labor costs. The project budget must include clear and concise detailed notes for presentation to the client, and additional detailed notes as necessary showing the work-up of numbers, assumptions, allowances, etc.

Under the supervision of the Project Manager/ Senior Project Manager:
- Prepare and manage subcontract and change order documents, RFI’s, RFP’s, shop drawings, submittals and samples, etc. Ensure distribution to the appropriate vendor(s), follow up with vendors directly as appropriate.
- Prepare, track, and manage owner/ client change orders per ECI standard processes and procedures. Communicate any issues promptly.
- Establish and update a detailed project schedule using Microsoft Project software. Schedule must establish all necessary tasks, links, predecessors, and milestones to successfully complete the construction project.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred
- Three (3) years related experience, and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

- Familiarity in reading Civil, Structural, Architectural plans, and quantity take offs from plans.
- Ability to identify problems and issues to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in industry software including but not limited to: Procore, Adobe Acrobat Pro, BlueBeam Revu, Dropbox, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
- Other training and/or certifications desired: OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
