- POSITION SUMMARY
- Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient/family centered care in the perianesthesia unit for all patient populations. Provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum to include patient and family education. Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols, or pathways for care delivery. Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice to enhance outcomes. Administers Medications according to standard nursing practice. Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Education
- Graduate of a school of nursing
Minimum Experience- 1-2 years RN hospital experience
Required Registration/License/Certification- Alabama Board of Nursing License
- BLS obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer or prior to taking call
- ACLS obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer or prior to taking call
- PALS obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer or prior to taking call.
Preferred Education- BSN
Preferred Experience- Perianesthesia, ER, ICU/stepdown experience.
Preferred Registration/License/Certification- N/A
