- Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient centered care in the ASC by maintaining a sterile environment before and during surgical procedures. Under the supervision of the OR registered nurse, the tech demonstrates knowledge, skills, and behaviors to maintain a consistent level of practice. Provides safe, therapeutic care. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum. Utilizes standards,guidelines, and protocols for care delivery. Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and enhance outcomes. Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development through teamwork training and continuing education. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Minimum Education
- High School diploma or GED
Minimum Experience- Completion of Surgical Technologist Program or on-the-job training with at least 5 years experience as a Surgical Technologist
Required Registration/License/Certification- BLS obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer.
Preferred Education- N/A
Preferred Experience- Previous experience in healthcare setting
Preferred Registration/License/Certification- Surgical Tech Certification
