Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Assistant. The Teacher's Assistant at East Gate Kids provides essential support to lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. This role involves assisting with classroom activities, supervising children, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily routines.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Assist with supervising children to always ensure their safety and well-being.
• Help with setting up and cleaning classrooms, ensuring a tidy and organized environment.
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members.
• Provide hands-on assistance with arts, crafts, reading, and other educational activities.
• Assist with diapering, potty training, and general hygiene needs as required.
• Monitor and support children during meal and snack times.
• Encourage and guide children in positive social interactions and behavior management.
• Follow and uphold all health, safety, and childcare regulations and policies.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; College Degree preferred.
• Experience working with children in a childcare, preschool, or educational setting required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to different classroom needs.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Ability to lift to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Must pass background check and meet state childcare requirements.
