East Hills Surgery Center is the first ambulatory surgery center for St. Francis Hospital and Catholic Health Services of Long Island. Our Surgery Center specializes in same-day outpatient surgeries. Required:
· State certification up to date and in good standing
· CPR and computer skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· At least one year of clinical experience
Preferred:
· ASC experience
General duties include:
· Maintains the area, equipment, and supply par levels in preop, PACU and OR.
· Provides cooperative and courteous service to patients, staff, visitors, and others as part of the organization's commitment to quality services.
· Support all the activities of the Total Joint Concierge Program.
· Act as a care coordinator to ensure patients from the Total Joint Concierge Program complete all their appointments prior their surgery date.
· Work directly with the providers and patients to facilitate their appointments and to provide guidance during the surgical journey.
· Works effectively as part of the healthcare team to facilitate the unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
· Readies Operating Rooms, Pre-Operative, and PACU for next day’s surgeries.
· Clerical Duties as directed
· Assists the Pre-Op nurse with patient safety while in the Pre-Operative Area, and with duties related to the smooth operation of the Pre-Operative or Holding Areas.
· Assists PACU nurse with patient safety while in the PACU until the patient is discharged from the facility.
· Assists the PACU nurse in patient discharge, teaching, and with duties related to the smooth operation of the PACU.
· Other duties as assigned.
