Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Program Manager to join our team. The Assistant Program Manager will work closely with the Program Manager to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the assigned unit/program. This role involves managing services, staff, and facilities while adhering to state certification regulations, funding requirements, and other relevant policies and procedures. The Assistant Program Manager will also act as the person in charge during the absence of the immediate supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Services:
- Assist in ensuring adherence to state certification regulations, funding requirements, and other applicable policies.
- Supervise recordkeeping to meet regulatory and funding requirements.
- Facilitate case reviews and ensure the stability, quality, and objectivity of client services.
- Manage the therapeutic community and facilities during scheduled shifts in the absence of the immediate supervisor.
- Perform specific managerial duties delegated by the immediate supervisor to support effective unit functioning.
Results Measures:
- Successful recertification/audit/review of the program.
- Chart audit results meeting standards set by program/regulatory/funding agency.
- 24/7 scheduling appropriate for the unit.
- Critical incidents within acceptable limits during the absence of the immediate supervisor.
Program Resources Put to Best Use:
- Assist clients with funding and financial matters, maintaining Client Financial Contracts.
- Ensure a hazard-free physical environment and conduct inspections for facility safety.
- Maximize the flow of admissions and discharges to optimize bed days utilization.
Results Measures:
- Up-to-date client financial contracts.
- Maximized payment for client services.
- Efficient and cost-effective maintenance of program equipment and supplies.
- Unit meets occupancy goals
Effective Staff:
- Manage performance of assigned supervisees, establish clear goals, provide timely feedback, and address performance issues promptly.
- Results Measures:
- Positive feedback from immediate supervisor.
- Active contribution to building a high-performing unit team.
- Timely completion of annual Performance Appraisals.
Services That Address Client/Guest Goals:
- Maintain caseload and develop, implement, and monitor client-centered rehabilitation plans.
- Provide counseling, training, and support to clients for independent and responsible living.
- Coordinate services with community providers and families.
- Results Measures:
- Caseload making reasonable progress toward goals.
- Positive feedback from colleagues and clients.
- Effective crisis intervention and support.
Requirements
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum Education & Experience: Associates degree in a human service-related field and three years of paid human service experience, or Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field.
- Licensure/Certifications: NYS motor vehicle license, OMH or OASAS licensure based on program type, Peer Run Respite Program certification preferred.
- Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience: Effective communication, cultural competence, counseling skills, basic computer literacy.
Physical Demands:

- Finger dexterity for operating a telephone and computer keyboard.
- Hearing and visual requirements for communication and reading.
Working Conditions:

Salary : $19 - $29
