Position Summary
The Internal Communications Strategist will help craft and coordinate all internal communications for East-West’s globally dispersed staff. This includes writing, scheduling, and implementing organization-wide communications of various mediums from various authors and multiple internal global audiences. The Strategist will work with various departments from Operations to Field, including sub-departments, as well as the Executive Leadership Team on special and regular communication. In addition, the Strategist will own certain communication products. The successful Strategist will collaborate with stakeholders to help them envision and execute on internal communications, supporting multiple projects simultaneously with project management capabilities, as well as written and verbal communication skills, recognizing that timely, clear, and effective communication is of critical importance in a growing and dispersed organization.
Position Location: Plano, TX Headquarters
This is a fully support-raised position.
Areas of Responsibility
Support East-West Operations and Field departments with ongoing and ad hoc communication projects. This includes:
- Regular updates and department requirements
- Collaborate with East-West Marketing to produce recruiting materials
- Schedule and send regular, organization-wide newsletters from departments and leadership
- Assist with LMS content creation
- Assist with other projects and initiatives throughout the year such as all staff conferences, staff prayer gatherings, and staff meetings.
- Oversee and manage the following communications products
- Global distribution calendar for all internal departments
- The Compass – East-West online staff portal
- Manage updates, announcements, and provide general upkeep
- Harvest Highlights – Monthly newsletter sent to all staff with updates, announcements, and information
- Create and send Harvest Highlights monthly
- Develop and maintain a network of personal support
Qualifications
- Baptized believer of Jesus Christ and a faithful member of a local church
- Experience working within a marketing/communication function preferred
- Diligence and attention to detail
- Proficient/expert writing and editing skills
- Collaborative and a team player
- Ability to raise and maintain personal support
