POSITION SUMMARY:
A Coach-Link Coach is a professional mentor that pairs with undergraduate students needing an extra layer of support and helps the students succeed academically, physically, emotionally, and spiritually at EMU. Coach-Link mentors work with students on a weekly basis and help them understand the difficulties of balancing all of the demands required in order to persist and graduate with a degree. Coach-Link provides personalized, 1-on-1 coaching and mentoring to support students in their college life and will help students think about and overcome their own personal barriers to success.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors Degree in counseling, psychology, education, college student personnel, or related field.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years experience in working with high school or college students; skills in interpersonal and group communication; and administrative competence.
Characteristics: Ability to provide comprehensive advice and exercise wise judgement in regards to students needing holistic emotional, academic, physical and spiritual support. Professional boundaries should be maintained and campus resources utilized when appropriate.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Within the general range of an office environment.
