What are the responsibilities and job description for the Territory Representative position at Eastern Metal Supply?
Position Summary:
Under general supervision, help support and grow EMS Business. Metal’s industrial experience with a proven record of accomplishment of successful business development is highly preferred. This is an entry level sales role that leads to promotion as Outside Sales Representative in 12 – 18 months.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- New account development and prospecting
- Increasing share at existing accounts
- New product introduction
- Utilize all marketing assets, including Digideck for presentations and product review
- Effectively communicate EMS’ distinct proficiencies
- Margin improvement initiatives
- Suggestions for adding new inventory items
- Prepare and present pricing quotes and proposals to customers
- Maintain computer records as to customers volume, usage and competitive influence
- Effective use of time/travel for territory coverage and management
- Work with Outside Sales Representative partners to establish target accounts and prospecting areas, be coached/mentored by seasoned OSR, enhancing territory coverage and growth

Education:
- Four-year college degree preferred
Experience/Skills/Abilities Required:
- Clean driving record over the last 5 years, free of all major incidents/convictions
- Must be willing to sign our standard non-compete agreement
- Prior outside sales experience or business-related college degree
- Ability to organize, plan and prioritize duties
- Detail oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong math skills required
