What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructor of Mathematics position at Eastern New Mexico University?
Position Summary
Eastern New Mexico University is seeking applications for an instructor’s position, with a three year renewable contract, in the Department of Mathematical Sciences beginning August 2023.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach lower-level mathematics and statistics courses,
- Provide appropriate service to the department, and
- Maintain scholarly currency in the teaching of introductory mathematics.
- Normal teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Job Requirements:
A Master’s Degree in Mathematics or a mathematically related field, and up to 18 credit hours in graduate level mathematics is required; but a Master's degree in mathematics is preferred.
Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
- Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
