Eastern Point Yacht Club Gloucester, Massachusetts Food and Beverage Manager Established in 1923, the Eastern Point Yacht Club is a member owned, family oriented, private club located at the Southern tip of Eastern Point in Gloucester, Ma. While the Food & Beverage Manager’s job is a year-round position, EPYC is a seasonal club open from May -November which operates an elegant dining room in our 1887 clubhouse, a more relaxed pub and bar, a mooring field for 112 vessels, a junior sailing program, an oceanside pool and overnight guest rooms. During the shoulder seasons, the club hosts weddings and private dining events for members and guests. The club is in sound financial condition with full membership and a waiting list.

Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Food & Beverage and management experience
- Outgoing engaging personality committed to delivering excellent service to our members * Exceptional organizational skills and a polished professional appearance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Technical literacy including proficiency in Excel, Jonas and Publisher
- Demonstrated ability to foster a positive working environment for all staff Responsibilities * Serves as the liaison between the dining room and kitchen staff
- Performs daily POS closeout
. * Work with the executive chef to update, review and print weekly menu changes
. * Update food and beverage pricing on your monthly inventory sheets.
- Setting up and breaking down of events.
- Hiring new staff for the season.
- Assure that the dining room and other club areas are secure at the end of each business day.
- Training and scheduling of staff.
- Performs daily pre-meals, going through daily specials, any updates on wine list, food menu and general events of the club.
- Ensuring that opening and closing side work is complete.
- Able to bartend if needed.
- Greets and seats members.
- Responsible and present for overseeing the nightly closing of the club.
- As a manager overseeing banquet events, additional hours beyond regular dinner service may be required to ensure the success and execution of the event.
- Performs other appropriate assignments and projects as required by the General Manager.

Education
: Bachelor's degree in hospitality management preferred The Club Food & Beverage
Manager is a year-round position. The Food & Beverage Manager schedule fluctuates based on events, but in general is: Peak Season (June 1-Labor Day) 5 days per week, Shoulder Seasons (Spring: April 15-May 31) & (Fall: Labor Day - November 30) 4 days per week. Off -Season (December 1 - April 15) Office coverage 2 days per week 9:00am - 4:00PM Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Annual Bonus.
