ERG's Facilities Planning and Engineering team is seeking construction technicians with experience working on facilities projects, such as interior or exterior building renovations, building repairs (e.g., roof or HVAC replacement), and modifications or repairs to utilities and infrastructure. These will be full-time, onsite positions working closely with project management teams to support the full duration of construction, including commissioning. Successful candidates will join our growing team of professionals who focus on quality work and fostering collaborative, long-term relationships with our clients and within our team.
Job Description :
- Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects
- Inspect construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards
- Conduct material testing for strength, density, durability, etc., and ensure they meet project and industry standards
- Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records
- Document any deviations or changes relative to blueprints and building plans
- Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, and other)
- Inspect project sites and oversee contractor activities to ensure compliance with building and safety codes
- Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications
- Provide Day-to-day operations support, such as coordinating access for construction contractors
- Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project
- Participate in project meetings to provide progress updates and report any issues
- These positions will be full-time at the federal site in Indian Head, MD, and will include interaction and support from ERG personnel at the federal site, as well as from ERG's Chantilly and Arlington offices
- Indian Head is approximately 30 miles from Washington, DC, 25 miles from Alexandria, VA, and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, VA
- Alternative work schedules may be considered
Qualifications and Skills :
