Position Description:
The Academic Quality and Operations Specialist supports the ongoing academic and operational excellence of the College of Business and Leadership (CBL). This role integrates academic quality functions, faculty and student communications, data reporting, and operational coordination. The specialist also contributes to project execution and stakeholder engagement in alignment with college goals and standards.

Position Responsibilities:
- Active Course Management
- Communicating course information to instructors and assisting adjunct faculty by providing syllabi, textbook, and Learning Management System (LMS – e.g. Brightspace, Cengage) support.
- Providing first level LMS technical support for CBL faculty (aside from PhD) with particular focus on the administrative/technical management of LifeFlex courses.
- Providing LMS technical support to students in LifeFlex courses on an as-needed basis.
- Supporting GAs/TAs/FTAs in their active course management duties.
- Curriculum Management and Course Building
- Assisting faculty/SME curriculum developers as they navigate the curriculum development process
- Creating course resources as dictated by curriculum developers and faculty including Brightspace (LMS) templates/shells, syllabi based on the CBL template, and other external learning tools such as Cengage course platforms and simulations
- Updating existing courses and transferring existing course resources into their new Brightspace shells each 7-week term
- Participating in course video editing and reviewing videos as needed as part of the course-building process
- Additional Operations Responsibilities
- Assisting with the day-to-day college operations including data reporting, key performance indicator maintenance, and project management
- Assisting with completion of program assessment reports with accurate, up-to-date data for program chair/faculty review, analysis, and discussion
- Assisting with monitoring and updating departmental project plans
- Producing reports as requested by college leadership for college decision making, proposals, and meetings (Peregrine, Satisfaction Survey, etc.)
- Updating student lists and managing CBL’s internal CRM tools
- Assisting with tracking and reporting ACBSP accreditation metrics and initiatives
- Marketing and Stakeholder Engagement
- Conducting the regular review of marketing materials and stakeholder resources
- Supporting stakeholder engagement initiatives including outreach to alumni and the business community through regular communication, social media, surveys, and newsletters
- Coordinating routine communication with students based on the academic calendar and student status in the program
- Managing the virtual event platform and assisting in the coordination of in-person and virtual events including:
- The CBL Graduate Reception
- Virtual Graduation Celebration
- Stakeholder panels, webinars, program-specific info sessions, etc.
- Employer engagement activities and career panels
- Miscellaneous
- Addressing quality concerns either directly or by escalating the concern to the appropriate level
- Maintaining current knowledge of instructional technology and best practices especially as pertains to EU’s online/LifeFlex courses
- Gaining an operational understanding of EU’s data systems including CROA, Colleague, and Brightspace
- Understanding and following FERPA regulations
- Assisting with special projects for the development and growth of the college
- Performing other duties as assigned

Employee Qualifications:
- Academic credentials suitable for an employee role in higher education, usually a bachelor's degree.

- Experience with pedagogical best practices for online courses is preferred
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet tools
- Experience with cloud-based business and educational platforms is preferred
Other Qualifications and Skills:
- Adequate listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Comfortable with using and managing electronic mail.
- Current valid driver's license or adequate means of transportation.
