Focuses on developing an individualized approach to assessing participants’ needs to gain employment. Translates those needs into mission opportunities including jobs, paid work experiences, and job shadowing opportunities for individuals served.
- Researches and maintains current job listings and develops resources for individuals served to identify current job openings related to their identified career goal.
- Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions and promote workshops to enhance job-related skills such as networking, professional etiquette, and communication.
- Work closely with individuals seeking employment, providing guidance and support in resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
- Develops and implements process for getting more participants to participant in local employment job fairs, workshops, and other programs activities offered in our program.
- Create and distribute informational resources, guides, and online content to support job seekers in their career development journey.
- Collaborate with workforce development specialists to identify and address barriers to employment, such as transportation, childcare, language support, etc.
- Works with individuals served, WDS, and employers to identify solutions to employment barriers.
- Check in and monitors youth’s experience once they are working.
- Working closely with the Community Operations Supervisor: expand, develop, and maintain relationships with employers in the community in order to market program and services including employment opportunities, work experience, and job shadowing opportunities for participants in our program.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends, job market demands, and emerging industries to provide relevant advice and guidance to job seekers.
- Attends meetings as required by supervisor, director, vice-president, president or agency.
- Maintains confidentiality of individuals served records, business contact information and other sensitive subject matter.
- Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as needed to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.
- Ensures the development of individualized work sites and serves as the point person for employer to contact in regards to youth performance evaluations, tracking progress, addressing concerns and other youth related information.
- Keep Salesforce up-to-date with accurate work experience information. Track and report on the effectiveness of workforce development programs and activities, including employment outcomes and participant satisfaction.
- Case note interactions with individuals served.
- Maintain accurate records and databases of job seeker interactions, employer contacts, and program outcomes.
- Minimum of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in the field of developmental disabilities;
- Or Relevant experience on a year-for-year basis, or credentialing that substitutes for the educational requirement;
