A Certified Nursing Assistant (IDD) is responsible for providing direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in a residential setting. The CNA (IDD) will work under the supervision of the Group Home Manager and will assist with activities of daily living, medication administration, and other healthcare-related tasks.

- Assist individuals with IDD with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications as prescribed by a licensed nurse
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals with IDD
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Document care provided and report any changes in condition to the licensed nurse
- Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals
- Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Indiana
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with IDD, their families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals with assistance as needed
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
