Job Summary
The Rochester Hills Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in providing patient care in a medical office setting. The Medical Assistant will perform administrative and clinical tasks to support the healthcare team and ensure efficient patient flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering medications as directed
- Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and maintaining patient records
- Ensure patient rooms and equipment are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Communicate with patients and their families in a professional and compassionate manner
- Follow all safety and infection control protocols
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain knowledge and skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills
