RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing EH&S leadership for the operations group and facility, striving for best in class performance.
- Responsibility and authority to initiate and record actions related to Food Safety.
- Actively supporting the implementation of the Lean Manufacturing System.
- Managing production and inventory levels, achieving goal and budget parameters for efficiency and cost, while maintaining and improving Safety, Quality and GMP standards.
- Collaborating with the Starch Value Stream Manager, aligning priorities and executing on both day-to-day and short to long term strategic growth.
- Ensuring that the facility is operating within applicable regulations and corporate policies.
- Actively engaging with the overall plant leadership team in the execution of employee engagement and empowerment strategies.
- Assisting in the development of facility strategies, ensuring that they are consistent and supportive of the region and overall organizational strategies.
- Establishing high goals for personal and team accountability.
- Coordinating with Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance and other plant functions to drive synergies, remove obstacles, streamline department operations and drive continuous improvement.
- Supporting the development of the site’s capital plan and provide input to Engineering to ensure sustainability of plant processes, equipment and infrastructure, along with the implementation of new processes, products and technology.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Chemical engineering bg or mechanical engineering. Chemical processes.
- Experience managing teams (5-7 years)
- Strategic thinking, continuous improvement. In charge of safety and quality
