What are the responsibilities and job description for the Final Assembler - 2nd Shift position at Eaton Corporation?
Eaton's Power Systems Division is seeking a Final Assembler to join our 2nd shift team! This role is located at our Lincoln Avenue facility in Waukesha, WI! The hourly range is $22.30 - $24.75 per hour $2.50/hr shift premium. The core hours are 3 pm - 11 pm.
This position is offering a sign-on bonus of $2,000*, less applicable withholding.

- Bonuses will be payable in two installments: $1,000, less applicable withholding will be paid after three (3) months of employment and the remaining $1,000, less applicable withholding will be paid after nine (9) months of employment
The Final Assembler assemblers all exterior equipment such as fuses and controls, control boxes, terminals, cubicles, compartments, arresters, etc. to substation and three-phase pad-mounted transformers.
In this function, you will:
Locate and assembles control box and conduit per drawings (or operator experience) to tank exterior
Wire controls to accessories as required by drawings and bill of material (or operator experience), and assembles control panels. This includes all wiring inside the cabinets of all 3ph pads, wiring of all substations, and assembly of all control boxes containing up to (5) accessories. (Accessories are defined as all terminal blocks combined being (1) accessory, all breakers combined being (1) accessory, etc.)
Train and secure all wiring to allow for required spacing between accessories whether in cabinet or control box for neat appearance and customer access
Locate mounts and assembles air loadbreak switches, cubicles, doors, throat covers, hoods, fans and barriers as specified
Locate and mount switch plates, identification and/or instruction plates as specified
Locate and attach connectors to bushing terminal as specified
Locate and attach or crates lightening arresters as required
Touch up paint nicks, scratches and generally checks for good appearance
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or General Equivalence Degree (GED) from an accredited institution.
- The ability to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including repetitive lifting (up to 50 lbs)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education in AC/DC fundamentals
- One (1) year previous electrical experience
Skills:
Ability to use a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric hand tools
Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
Ability to layout, assemble, wire, and mount a variety of electrical components.
Ability to work overtime when required.
Ability to lift up to 50 LBS; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
