Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Assembler II - 3rd shift. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. The rate for this position is $21.25 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differential. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you’ll do:
In this function, you will:
- Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components
- Use bolts, screws, clips, and other fastening devices
- Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams
- Be using hand tools
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise
- Keep work areas clean and safe
- Supports all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:
o Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals, and status to the shop floor.
o Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.
- Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-duty military service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Position Criteria:
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format.
- Able to stand on feet continuously during working shifts.
- Fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion is required.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.
Physical Demands:
- Able to stand on feet continuously during working shifts.
- Able to regularly lift 50 pounds with or without accommodation. Occasionally lift more than 50 lbs. with assistance.
- Exposure to high noise levels (ear protection may be required in some areas).
- Exposure to high-traffic areas with forklift activity.
- Work environment exposes to oils, lubricants, and solvents.
