What You’ll Do

As a Production Supervisor, you will provide leadership and direction for a work group within the plant. In This Role You Will
- Conduct Daily Team stand-up meeting with all department personnel in area of responsibility
- Represent the company when interacting with production employees on the shop floor
- Help drive and implement safety policies and programs, meet operating budgets, complete continuous improvement plans, and coach employees on behavior/performance
- Monitor control plans, troubleshoot workmanship problems and supervise production activities to ensure manufactured products meet or exceed established quality requirements
- Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardize work processes are followed and countermeasures are implemented where necessary
- Ensure that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully perform job
- Utilize lean six sigma methodologies to reduce operational costs, inventory and lead-times as well as ensure alignment with long-term manufacturing strategies
- Develop and establish manufacturing priorities based on the production schedule and monitor employee work requirements in order to meet customer deadlines
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum two (2) years of manufacturing, production or operations experience
- Minimum one (1) year of leadership experience
- No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of (Syracuse, NY) to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future
- Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Engineering, or related field of study from an accredited institution
- Machining experience (CNC, manual machining, etc.)
- Three (3) years of related experience including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope and complexity in a manufacturing environment
- SAP business system experience
- Microsoft Office platform experience
- Union environment experience
- Continuous Improvement project experience
