The Global Seller Risk Management team provides sellers of all sizes an opportunity to conduct commerce and grow their business on the ebay marketplace with a simple, consistent, & customer focused experience, while managing to the ebay lifecycle risk tolerance. We are customer centric and strive for clear, visible, and consistent risk actions that remove bad actors and prevent seller churn while instilling confidence on the platform to promote buyer and seller growth

We are searching for a highly motivated individual to join our expanding team focused on ensuring accuracy of risk mitigation strategies and ensuring seller health to ensure the right sellers have a smooth experience while controlling for bad actors. The role requires a keen curiosity and a strong analytical approach to drive optimized strategies. In this role you will be a valued strategic partner on the onboarding strategy team that is growing trust across the marketplace. You will drive product and strategy changes that protect the platform while improving seller experience and maintaining the portfolio risk profile.

You are:

• An expert in telling data-oriented stories to gain consensus and drive decisions
• Analytically minded with an appetite for curiosity with a solid understanding of data extraction and analytical tools (SQL, Python, R)
• Able to process complicated and diverse sets of information in order to provide summary-level insights and recommendation
• Successful using data to derive insights, to validate strategies or hypotheses and to communicate progress and performance.
• Experienced with writing business requirement documents and driving product development roadmap to ensure strategies are implemented accurately and on time
• An excellent communicator, with strong presentation skills
• Open, transparent, and direct in your communications with outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively

Requirements

• College degree in a quantitative field with 3-5 years of related experience or
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field with 1-3 years of related experience

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
