What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver position at Ebenezer?
This position is responsible for driving the bus/van for purposes of providing and
addressing transportation needs of the SNF/AL Community, individual, and group transportation.
Completes transportation routes and duties in a timely manner. · Maintains a log of transportation services and tasks performed throughout the driving period. · Organizes work assignments. · Modifies schedule to accommodate the need of passengers. · Ensures compliance with all requirements pertaining to operation of special transportation vehicle. · Communicates with supervisor about needed equipment and supplies.
Provides supervisor with adequate notification of schedule difficulties. · Follows policies and procedures of Ebenezer and state and federal rules and regulations. · Functions effectively with limited direct supervision.
Is responsible for the safety and welfare of passengers. · Practices sound, safe judgment when performing transportation services. · Knows and practices infection control procedures. · Knows and practices fire and disaster procedures. · Knows and practices safety procedures. · Recognizes and acts appropriately on safety hazards and incidents. · Responds appropriately to emergency situations.
Displays knowledge and understanding of participant and resident rights. · Provides assistance to all participants and residents, as needed.
Required
High school diploma/GED
Current driver's license in good standing
Must be insurable under the employers auto Insurance Coverage
Preferred
one to three years of experience
