Overview

We are looking for a Resident Assistant who would provide personal cares to improve and/or maintain our senior assisted living/memory care residents’ physical and emotional well-being at our beautiful community in Sarasota, FL. This role is also given training to pass medications. No CNA required, unless under 18 years old.
This resident assistant/caregiver schedule includes;
- 72 hours per pay period
- Day Shift Hours
- Includes working every other weekend and holidays rotation

Responsibilities/Job Description
- Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to: bathing, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers/lifts.
- Under direction of Nurse, provides health related services as needed such as; passing medication, glucose monitoring, temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse.
- May perform duties that include: laundry, cleaning, meal service, and assisting with activities.
- Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff
- Assists with onboarding of new staff
- Includes assisting with on-call staffing needs on a rotating basis
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Ability to communicate optimally, with compassion and kindness for residents and coworkers
- Ability to work in a team setting and support others
- Curiosity to work with a diverse and older population
- CNA certificated if under 18
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:
- High School diploma or GED or completion of a formal NA or HHA course
- Previous work experience as HHA, CNA, NA, DSP, PCA
- Currently employed with Amira Choice Sarasota
